He served as the rabbi of Congregation Kneseth Israel (“The White Shul”) in Far Rockaway for 13 years, the rav of the Torah Center of Hillcrest and the chairman of the Vaad Harabonim of Queens.

He has served as an instructor for Daf Yomi cycles in both Talmud Bavli and Talmud Yerushalmi and as a scholar in residence and lecturer in numerous venues. He is an editor at Artscroll/Mesora Publications and has published many essays in major Orthodox Jewish periodicals.

Rabbi Weiss, M.D., is the rabbi of the Young Israel of Hillcrest in Queens and an adjunct assistant professor of Biology at Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University. He lectures frequently on bioethics and has served on a number of bioethics committees and as a member of the Geirus Commission of the RCA.
