You can prepare for law school while you’re here.
There is no required undergraduate curriculum for students who plan to attend law school. This means that you are free to choose any major you like. However, law students are three times more likely to have majored in Political Science than any other field. One reason is that Political Science departments offer numerous courses that provide the skills necessary for success in law school. Students who attend law school are expected to be proficient in analytical reasoning, making and refuting arguments, and oral and written communication. There are several political science courses that provide extensive training in these skills. And there are a few other ways for you to optimize your preparation for law school.
